After finally finding the carpark and waiting for the fog to lift it was time to try and get the wheels rolling…the [...] 2 folks riding pump track badly Following on from the nothern branch lee quarry report and the fact we were in the area myself, cathy and stru decided to take a jaunt to see what all the chat had been about. After a bit of debate about where to park and then where to [...] spring mist The first of our 2 rides in the north west was a bit of a cross country jaunt in the hills around Buxton. Typical of riding in this area it included a lot of stony ups and a few short sharp downs. [...] wooden berm I think that just about covers it and is far far more than I thought we would cover, even though I have been to see Tony on a couple of courses before. I had booked a one-to-one session with ukbikeskills to get some confidence back a couple of riding set-backs at the [...] ali @ swinley A quick sunny blast round Swinley – not a massive amount of miles but a good amount of the decent singletrack on offer. After a muddy slog around the north downs earlier in the week it was great to be driving out to Swinley under the promise of blue skies. [...] So Friday was an early start to get the train to Reading and the towpath/road ride to Bristol…tale in pictures and a few words… [...] shoes of donald This ride was the scheduled re-birth of my trek remedy after being in hibernation for just over 7 months. The day got off to a bad start when the trusty old car made nothing but a clicking noise when the key was turned. A brew or so later and the AA [...] rich and cathy The portents were’t good for the ride – forecast of rain, driving through grey skies and rain. Plus we were riding in the chilterns which is renowned for it’s claggy conditions. Getting to Watlington we were all ready for a wet slog around the chilterns.
